Born in Lisbon in 1974, she is an illustrator. She has a degree in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in editorial graphic design from the University of Barcelona.
In 1999, she created Planeta Tangerina with three friends.
She received the National Illustration Award in 2008 and 2018 and special mentions in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2014; Children's Book Illustration Award at the Amadora Comic Book Festival in 2008 and 2011 and the SPA/Children's and Young Adult Book Author Award in 2015.
The originals from the book Não é Nada Difícil – O Livro dos Labirintos (It's Not Hard – The Book of Mazes) were selected for the illustration exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair 2018. This book also received an Honourable Mention in the ‘Children's Picture Books’ category at the New York Rights Fair.
The book Montanhas (Mountains) received a special mention from the jury at the Bologna Fair in the Art, Architecture and Design category (Bologna Ragazzi Awards 2018). The book Para que serve? (What is it for?) received a special mention at the Bologna Fair in the Non-Fiction category (Bologna Ragazzi Awards 2022).
He has been teaching Illustration at the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon since 2010.
