Yuri Corrêa
Yuri Reis is a designer and illustrator born in Rio de Janeiro, where he developed an interest in images and visual language from an early age. Graduating in Visual Communication/Design from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2017, he built his professional career combining technique, research and artistic sensitivity.
In 2019, he completed his postgraduate degree in Illustration at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP), where he also completed his master's degree in Editorial Projects in 2023. His academic background reinforces his constant search for new ways of narrating and representing visually.
Yuri had the opportunity to learn the basics of drawing from Brazilian artist Lydio Bandeira de Mello, an experience that marked her training and broadened her view of graphic and artistic expression. Today, she is dedicated to creating projects that explore visual communication in an authorial, poetic and functional way, always trying to exploit the narrative and communicative power of illustration to the fullest.
